Podcast Details
This week on Regional Voices we continue our series of interviews on Australia’s Big Things, and as part of that series we talk to Councillor Ray Donald.

Ray Donald was elected to Bogan Shire Council in September 1991 and is currently serving his 18th term as mayor of the shire. Earlier this year Bogan Shire decided to really embrace its name, unveiling a 5m tall Big Bogan statue in the regional town of Nyngan.

Ray tells Kendi Burness-Cowan about how his community came to embrace this giant singlet-clad bogan as its main tourist attraction, and a bit about what else this region in the heart of NSW has to offer.
