The transition to electric vehicles is a key part of reducing emissions and creating a more sustainable future. Many businesses are leaning into the EV transition, but for some, there is a lot to learn and it is not just a simple switch. From having suitable infrastructure, to gaining staff buy-in and deploying operational change, the shift comes with its share of challenges. That’s why relatable stories that showcase successful transition are so important.

NSW Government’s Department of Climate Change, Energy, the Environment and Water (DCCEEW) is supporting individuals and businesses with their transition to an electric fleet through a range of incentive programs. To help increase interest and demystify the process of transitioning to EVs, we are helping create strategic content that connects, informs and helps drive change by increasing awareness of the EV fleets incentive available for NSW businesses.  We’ve been working with the team since last year to develop a series of written and video case studies that showcase how a diverse range of organisations across NSW are navigating the transition to electric fleets, and the benefits they’re seeing along the way. This content is connecting businesses with the incentives, while also informing and driving change.

The first of these case studies features STARTTS (NSW Service for the Treatment and Rehabilitation of Torture and Trauma Survivors), a community-focused organisation providing vital support to refugees and survivors of trauma. Their decision to integrate EVs into their fleet reflects their commitment to sustainability and social responsibility. We brought this story to life through a carefully produced video and written article, showcasing how the transition is delivering practical benefits while aligning with STARTTS’ values and purpose.

Creating content like this is more than just filming footage and drafting copy. It’s about strategic storytelling – understanding the audience, aligning with business goals, and ensuring the message is both authentic and engaging. It also involves seamless project management.

We’ve been managing these case studies from end-to-end – including coordinating stakeholders and managing approvals, developing talking points, putting interview talent at ease, asking the right questions, filming and post-production alongside one of our trusted video suppliers. Every stage is handled to deliver quality outputs that are ready to use across multiple channels for the Department.

So far, we’ve had great feedback from the team on our approach, and this is just the beginning – we’re excited to keep rolling out more case studies throughout 2025.
