Freshmark is the industry body representing the NSW fresh produce sector. They’re based in the heart of Sydney Markets, the largest central market in Australia, transacting approximately $3 billion in produce per annum.
What we’ve done
Since working with Freshmark, we have supported them to refresh and communicate its mid-term strategy, develop key policy positions, and take a major step up in its advocacy efforts. This has included participation in six relevant government reviews, with very positive response to the industry positions and recommendations we have developed.
We have also supported the organisation to build its media and social media presence in a strategic way, focusing on topics that are most critical to industry and members.
What we achieved
During the NSW state election campaign period, Freshmark CEO Meegan George joined Premier Perrottet at a press conference announcing a promised supply chain commissioner. The opportunity allowed Freshmark to position itself as an authority in its industry and to raise other key topics on which they want to be an opinion leader. The story was covered by all major state media.
Our work also includes thought leadership development, supporting he CEO by creating speaking opportunities at key industry events and we have facilitated a number of media introductions.
