What brought you into the agency?
After almost 20 years being client side, and wanting to diversify my skills this seemed perfect. I really value flexibility and culture and having worked with HC as a client almost 15 years ago, I knew the company would be a great fit. I want to be challenged and bring innovation which is challenging on client side whilst delivering business as usual, so with a client portfolio, I feel new ideas will be welcomed and my strong attention to detail will be very appreciated.
What’s your workplace superpower?
Creative thinking, brainstorming and challenging the status quo. I enjoy pushing the boundaries and seeking better ways to do things. I enjoy exceeding expectations by setting a baseline and improving it incrementally. It may be by working smarter not harder, communicating in a more engaging way or adopting a new tech to streamline a process. I also believe reflection is crucial to moving forward and improving.
What do you love most about your job?
The opportunity for growth! The diversity in client portfolio will allow me to learn a broad range of new terminology, technology and skill sets. I have a diverse set of skills across marketing, so will enjoy being able to flex different marketing muscles every day to meet my client’s changing needs while expanding and deepening my skills.
What’s the most useful piece of advice you could pass on?
Always keep moving. Sometimes it’s necessary to go back a step to go forward or take smaller steps and it’s OK to change direction provided you keep moving.
What do you do when you’re not on the job?
First and foremost, I love making beautiful memories with my family and friends. I try to make the most of my personal time as well as make time to “give back”.
I’m also a passionate advocate for women’s health (particularly breast cancer after beating it twice – once when pregnant!). I am often involved in fundraising events or volunteering as a keynote speaker to help raise funds for worthwhile causes.
