Sue headed to Scoresby and started her day with a factory tour of Davey’s manufacturing facility, led by Innovation Manager Ashley White. There’s nothing quite like seeing firsthand where and how our clients do their thing. For Sue, this included seeing where Davey produces its industry-leading innovative products like Monsoon IQ. Then it was onto meet with Ben, Dora and Sam in the marketing and digital team to go through plans for FY2020, in the context of their strategic goals, the competitive landscape and the content, PR and social assets we can produce to ensure an impactful presence is felt in the market.
On the other side of Melbourne, Kendi and I headed out to Corio, located on the outskirts of Geelong, to visit one of Davey’s customers, Hass Pumps. Hass manufactures fire pump sets for large warehouses, and the Davey pump is a key component in these units. We heard from owner Jason Hassett, who started the business nearly 20 years ago as a diesel mechanic, about how he has built his business to be one of the leading suppliers of fire pump sets to large warehouses and residential properties throughout Victoria.
It was great to see the assembly line in action, from welding the chassis, to spraying the Davey pump red (all fire products must be red to code) to then visiting one of his customers and seeing where they house the sets and how Hass conducts regular checks.
From that one visit, we’ll be creating a whole suite of assets for Davey, including a video testimonial, a case study, media release, social posts and landing page copy. Stay tuned to see the final product!
It’s great to get out of the daily grind, to visit our clients and their customers; hear their interesting business stories, and create content to support our clients’ overarching goals. If you need some help in that area, let us know at email@example.com
