Elise Mizzi - Within the HC world, one of our favourite things is to connect people with each other. Because we’re specialists, we work with a particular subset of clients, and that means we know people who know about your industry – and we can hook you up!
We’re always looking for opportunities to bring clients together, and recently this took on a new guise as we gathered a roomful of clients to hear from a major media player and spend some time discussing a couple of the big issues on the agenda.
News Corp Rural special event
News Corp Rural produces titles such as The Weekly Times and Rural Weekly, as well as the new The Ag Show on Sky Business News. Because of our strong relationship with News Corp Rural, we had the opportunity recently to bring some of our agri clients and contacts together at News Corp’s offices in Sydney for a private and frank discussion about thought leadership and the role of activism in the industry. It was a great opportunity to make industry connections and have a space to share ideas and learnings. Plus we got to be among the first to hear about some new regional media developments and see the studio where The Ag Show is filmed.
We’ve been out and about at a few other events too, making connections between clients where we can and enjoying the catch up!
The Land Luncheon
Every year we join our friends from across the agricultural industry at the Sydney Royal Easter Show for a lunch hosted by the team from The Land newspaper. It’s a great opportunity to connect clients, friends, and the team at Fairfax Media as well as meet new people coming into the industry.
Farm Writers NSW
Farm Writers attracts not just agri-journalists, but plenty of industry players who are keen to network and hear from interesting speakers. We try to get along when we can and always aim to take at least one client and make as many introductions as we can.
Last month the topic was Sustainability in the Supply Chain and our own Kendi gave the vote of thanks.
Diesel Dirt & Turf Expo
A major construction industry event now in its third year, Diesel Dirt and Turf is a great opportunity to connect with friends old and new from across the sector, as well as see new advancements close up – sometimes you can even be lucky enough to climb up into a new machine!
You never know what can be created when you bring people together – generally it’s something new and exciting, and that’s why we value it so highly as an agency.
