Did everyone spend the Aussie winter in Europe? It feels like that to the HC gang, the only people in the country not holidaying overseas. So, we’re planning dream trips to Europe instead.

Kendi – I got to spend one glorious day in Montenegro when I was on a cruise a few years ago, and I would love to go back for a longer stay. The landscape is beautiful, the cobbled towns are simply gorgeous, the pace is slow and the prices are low. Perfection.

Sue – I’m loving vacationing vicariously through my good friend Nadia’s ultimate summer holiday in Italy with her sisters and their families. Second generation Italian, her trip has been filled with amazing glimpses of Italian life off the beaten tourist track in places you might never choose to visit.

Alex – The first place I visited on my first Europe trip was Greece, and what a way to start. Quaint villages overlooking picturesque beaches, amazing history and a gyros every day. I’ve been dreaming about going back ever since.

Karen – Fondest European memories are of France, and ah, Paris! As a keen ex-equestrian, taking in some top-class showjumping on the continent along with a few days at Wimbledon and the cricket back across the channel sounds like a dream plan.

Shereen – Take me back to summer in Italy with its beautiful beaches and stunning coastal villages. Delicious pizza, pasta and wine, lovely people and lots of history, plus the F1 race in Monza, it’s the dream package! I’ll always love Italy.
