One of our newest clients is the Goat Industry Council of Australia, and if you think that sounds pretty niche, you may be surprised to know that goat meat consumption is growing globally and the Australian sector is right at the top of the leaderboard for supplying this highly nutritious protein.

In fact, goat meat is the most widely consumed meat in the world, and more people drink the milk of goats than any other single animal.

While Australia is a relatively small producer, we are the biggest exporter. Our goat meat export sector is three times the size of the sheep export sector. The rangeland goat meat sector processed about 3 million goats and exported product worth $300 million in FY24 and employs thousands of people.

GICA is among a growing number of industry bodies on our client roster and we’re really enjoying getting to understand the similarities and differences across sectors and using our understanding of the agri supply chain to help each organisation achieve its goals.

We’re excited to be working with GICA to start to tell the stories of this industry with the help of poster girl Bernice, the 12 year old pet goat – isn’t she beautiful?
