There’s no compliment in business quite like finding new work through your connections.
Sure, you can pitch for work or respond to RFQs, both of which we do from time to time, but most of our work comes through people we’ve met and worked with along the way.
We’ve recently started working with Davey, reconnecting via a wonderful former client, and we have also teamed up with the Australian Meat Processor Corporation, where our former colleague Elise now heads up communications.
And what great work she is sending our way! We’ve completed a social media audit that provides some clear next steps for the organisation to optimise its social channels, and we’ve put together a content package to help publicise the important research work AMPC does for the red meat sector, to ensure all that effort leads to industry change.
We’ve also helped Elise and her team get a major research project out the door, supporting her with the final proofing of AMPC’s industry cost-to-operate report, plus drafting a media release about the report and helping with media engagement – one of our favourite things to do.
It’s been fantastic to work so seamlessly with Elise and her team, freeing them up to focus on what they do best while we do what we do best.
Have you found yourself working in different ways with past colleagues, customers or clients? We’d love to hear your story – tell us on social media.
Kendi Burness-Cowan.
